Jo Kilgour

Jo Kilgour is an Auckland-based Lighting Designer and Technical/Production Director with extensive touring and festival experience.

Recent lighting design credits include: Sigan, The Seasons Retouched, The Fibonacci, Whispers from Pandora’s Box, Matter, The Geography of an Archipelago, In Transit, and Brouhaha for The New Zealand Dance Company; Rushes, Movement of the Human: Fringetown for Malia Johnson’s Movement of the Human; Six Degrees of Separation, Filthy Business, Under The Mountain, Nell Gwynn, Amadeus, and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time for Auckland Theatre Company; La Traviata, and Cav + Pag for Festival Opera; Leeches for Aloalii Tapu & Friends; Once for Peach Theatre Company; Into The Belly of Capricorn for Estère.

Her work in technical and production management includes Auckland Arts Festival; New Festival of the Arts; Christchurch Arts Festival, Taranaki Arts Festival; and The New Zealand Dance Company.

In 2017 Jo, along with Rowan Pierce, won the ‘Best Production for Lighting and AV’ award for Rushes (MOTH) in the 2017 Auckland Fringe Festival.
