The New Zealand Dance Advancement Trust is seeking an Artistic Director / Chief Executive for The New Zealand Dance Company.
In 2022, The New Zealand Dance Company (NZDC) celebrated its ten-year anniversary and secured renewed Creative New Zealand Toi Uru Kahikatea investment programme funding.
As the NZDC enters its next decade, the Board is seeking to appoint an Artistic Director / Chief Executive (AD/CE).
The AD/CE will be a confident and respected leader with entrepreneurial flair, vision, capability and proven experience to lead the Company. They will strategically lead the artistic, executive and commercial functions of NZDC and have the ability to promote the Company’s central role in developing works and programmes that speak to and reflect contemporary society in all its diversity.
The ability to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of te reo and tikanga Māori and the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi will be essential.
