Greg Innes
Trustee

Greg has been in and around the performing arts, entertainment and events sector since the early 1980’s. If you had asked the teenage Greg what industry he would have liked to work in, you’d have been told enthusiastically radio, or anything to do with music.

Greg’s introduction to the industry didn’t take place until sometime in 1982, when he became involved on behalf of the Victorian State Government with the almost brand-new Victorian Arts Centre. In the period after that, Greg became engaged with the wider industry, originally via the construction and development / redevelopment of performing arts / entertainment / convention / sporting facilities on behalf of the Victorian Government, before leaving to work with the Australian Theatre Proprietors and Entrepreneurs Association, now known as Live Performance Australia.

In 1994 Greg was appointed CE of the Aotea Centre Board of Management, a role he held until the Auckland Council was created in 2010. In the period since then he has been involved in a variety of roles as an independent consultant, and most recently as GM of the New Zealand Dance Company, and now as CE of Q Theatre.
