Ashley David

Ashley is a performing arts manager as well as a dance teacher, choreographer, and performer on the pursuit of making her dreams into her reality. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations and dance from the University of Maryland (College Park), as well as a diverse arts administration background spanning marketing, communications, digital media, fundraising, programming, and more, she is thrilled to combine her skills and passion as a part of the NZDC team.

In January 2017, Ashley relocated to Auckland from Washington, D.C. where she had worked at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and The Suzanne Farrell Ballet, danced with a local contemporary company, and taught dance throughout the D.C. region. After spending her childhood, university time, and first few young adult years in the same 50-mile radius, Ashley was ready to leave her bubble (and join her partner) on an adventure in the furthest she could get from home – New Zealand!

Ashley is a proud Armenian-American and in her spare time loves to explore the many wonders of Aotearoa, practice yoga, work it out in reformer pilates, and boogey on a dance floor – anywhere, anytime.
